Lighting Design

I was the lighting designer for 20 different dance pieces. The main pieces were group pieces with solo/duo acts in between to cover for the quick changes needed to be done for the dancers from piece to piece. There were 2 guest artists 1 for each night of performances. This spring performance was presented at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art.

I was the lighting designer for 20 different dance pieces. The main pieces were group pieces with solo acts in between to cover for the quick changes needed to be done for the dancers from piece to piece. There were 3 guest artists 1 for each night of performances.

From the MCLA newspaper The Beacon: "The lighting and coloring of the backdrop generally fit the mood or flow of the song. The frequent use of cool colors served as both the manifestation of some of the concrete emotions but also captured and noted the abstraction of a lot of the dance moves. The most exciting part about this show was how it managed these two extreme climates without getting completely absorbed in either one."
