God of Carnage
Lighting Design
God of Carnage is a play that shows the transformation of two couples who come together to discuss the fighting between their children. As the play evolves, a sort of chaos ensues and the couples begin to act like their children if not worse. In my design of the show, I wanted to represent the crisp, clean world of the apartment's interior where they meet. I wanted to bring the audience into the realistic world of the apartment and not have the audience members feel as if they were in a theatre watching a play. Through collaboration with the creative team, we decided to have many lighting practicals on the set to help bring to life that realistic look.
