Lighting Design
Peter Pan is the story about the boy who never grew up and the girl that did. It is a story about adventure, love, and the need to be young forever with an imagination that never gets old. In discussion of the design team we had the the set which is the world of the play, the costumes that are the people, and the lighting that is the atmosphere. In my design it was my need to bring to life the imagination of the audience both young and old with the choice of bright saturated colors in the world that is Neverland and a soft palette that is the Nursery. Neverland is a place of rebirth, joy, and adventure whenever Peter is there compared to the dark, scary world that is the Jolly Roger and the pirates.
